Itinerary

DAY BEFORE KLIA - Departure at the airport

Assemble at KLIA airport, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at 11.00 p.m. for check in to Dubai and Amman with Emirates Airline.

DAY 1 - KUALA LUMPUR > DUBAI > AMMAN (Breakfast on board / L / D)

Board Emirates flight EK 343 for Dubai. Arrive in Dubai, board flight EK 901 at 0800 am for Amman. Arrive into Amman at 0940 am, clear immigration and customs. Drive to Madaba to visit Mt Nebo where Moses saw the Promised Land. After lunch, visit the Madaba St George’s Church, where the earliest mosaic map of the Holyland was found. Continue to Petra for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2 - PETRA (B / L / D)

Early breakfast at the hotel. After checking out, we drive down to the Petra Visitors Centre to begin our tour of Petra. From the visitors centre, walk 2km through the picturesque “ciq” or canyon till we arrive at the Treasury, carved into the pink stone. Choose to explore the Roman theatre, the Corinthian Tomb and Palace Tomb unto the Roman Road. After lunch, drive back to the Dead Sea Spa. Float in the Dead Sea. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 3 - AMMAN > MEGGIDO > MUHRAKA (B / L / D)

Early breakfast. Check out and visit Bethany Beyond Jordan, where John the Baptist baptized Jesus. Cross the Allenby Bridge over the River Jordan and to visit Megiddo (Armageddon), where the final battle between the forces of good and evil is prophesied to take place. Proceed to Muhraka for a spectacular view of northern region, where Elijah defeated the prophets of Ba’al. Continue over to Nazareth for dinner and overnight.

DAY 4 - SEA OF GALILEE > TABGHA > PETER PRIMACY > CAPERNAUM > CANA > NAZARETH (B / L / D)

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer for boat ride across the Sea of Galilee from Tiberius, a prosperous town built by Herod Antipas. Drive to Capernaum and see the ancient Synagogue and St Peter’s House. Visit Tabgha, site of the miracle of the loaves and fishes and Peter Primacy also known as the Table of Christ. After lunch, proceed to Cana, scene of the first miracle. Continue onwards to Nazareth and visit the Church of the Annunciation. Overnight in Nazareth.

DAY 5 - MOUNT OF BEAUTITUDES > TEL DAN > BANIAS > MT TABOR (B / L / D)

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Mount of Beatitudes where the Sermon on the Mount is remembered. A communion service will be held here. Drive to Tel Dan, the ancient Biblical City home of the tribe of Dan and visit the nature reserve. Continue to Caesarea Philippi, also known as Banias (where Peter said “Thou art Christ”), located in the foothills of Mt Hermon in the Golan Heights. It was a major town and sacred place during the Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine and early Moslem eras. After lunch continue to Mt Tabor, the site of the transfiguration. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 6 - MUHRAKA > CAESEREA MARITIMA > BETHLEHEM > JERUSALEM (B / L / D)

Early breakfast. Check out of hotel and continue to drive towards Caesarea Maritima, capital of the Roman province. Visit the Roman and Crusader remains. Passing through Tel Aviv and Joppa, we drive towards Bethlehem. After lunch, see the Church of the Nativity and below it the cave stable of Jesus’ birth. Visit The Shepherd’s Field. Drive up to Jerusalem. Check into hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 7 - CHURCH OF ASCENSION > MT OF OLIVES > GETHSEMANE > MT ZION > ST PETER IN GALLICANTU (B / L / D)

After breakfast, drive to Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the Jerusalem. Visit the Church of Ascension and the Pater Noster Church where Jesus taught the Lord’s Prayer. Walk down Palm Sunday road. Visit Dominus Flevit Church, where Jesus wept over Jerusalem. At the foot of the hill, visit the Garden of Gethsemane in the grounds of the Church of All Nations. Visit Mount Zion and the tomb of King David, the Upper Room and the Church of the Dormition. Continue to the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, where Peter denied Jesus three times (built over the palace of the High Priest Caiaphas). Overnight in Jerusalem.

DAY 8 - OLD CITY OF JERUSALEM > SHRINE OF THE BOOK (B / L / D)

After quiet time and breakfast, we leave for the Old City. Visit the Pool of Bethesda and St Anne’s Church, traditional birthplace of Jesus’ mother Mary. After this we begin the Via Dolorosa (Way of the Cross). Visit the First and Second Stations where Jesus was condemned to a Roman death and the trial Paul had to undergo. Continue to visit the Stations of the Cross and finally arrive at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher where Jesus was crucified, buried and rose again. View the Wailing Wall. After lunch, visit the Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Seas Scrolls are kept. Overnight in Jerusalem.

DAY 9 - BETHANY > QUMRAN > JERICHO > WADI QELT (B / L / D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Start the day in Bethany, home of Martha, Mary and Lazarus and see the winepress. Drive to Qumran where the Essenes enclave lived and see the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Continue on to Jericho to view Tel Jericho (ruins of Jericho), Sycamore tree and the Mt of Temptations. After lunch visit Wadi Qelt, also known as the Valley of the Shadow of Death. Overnight in Jerusalem.

DAY 10 - JERUSALEM > AMMAN (B / L / Dinner on board)

After breakfast and quiet time, check out from the hotel. Proceed to Allenby Bridge and cross over into Jordan. Lunch in Amman and depart for the airport. Clear security and board flight EK 904 at 1800 for Dubai. Arrive into Dubai at 2200.

DAY 11 - DUBAI > KUALA LUMPUR (Meals on Board)

Time for browsing or relaxing at the airport. Depart Dubai early morning at 0310 for Singapore. Arrive home with many fond and blessed memories of your visit to the Holy Land.
