The first Christians who escaped from the persecution of the Roman Empire in the 2nd century came to Cappadocia to live in the underground cities. Visit Kaymakli underground city which is believed to be from the Bronze Age and used mostly during the Byzantine period. After lunch, visit Göreme Open Air Museum, with its rock-cut churches, chapels and monasteries. Visit the carpet, pottery, and jewellery outlets.

Continue to visit Laodicea (Denizli) the seventh church. Then drive to Philadelphia (Alaşehir), the sixth Church, the least distinguished site of the Seven churches with very few ruins visible now. Drive to Kusadasi.

Breakfast at the hotel. Proceed to the ferry terminal to board the ferry to the Isle of Patmos. On Patmos you will see the Apocalypse of St John and the cave where he wrote the book of Revelation. Visit the Monastery of Ionanni built around the year 1088. Return to Kusadasi.

After breakfast, check out of the hotel. Visit a church in Izmir (formerly known as Smyrna) site of the second Church. Visit Sardis (Sart), the fifth Church, and Thyatira, the fourth church. Drive to the ancient Acropolis of Pergamum (Bergama). The Acropolis of Pergamum is perched atop a high, steep-sided hill at the eastern reaches of the modern city and is the site of the third church.

Continue to Istanbul. Take a breathtaking cruise on the Bosporus, the beautiful strait that divides Europe and Asia. After lunch, visit the Spice Bazaar.
